One of my Favorite Cookbooks

Have you been yearning for your favorite restaurant dish, but with your new frugal ways, don’t want to spend when it’s not necessary?
Sales have been slowing at national restaurant chains like Red Lobster, TGI Fridays, and the Cheesecake Factory recently due to the increase in gas prices as well as the general layoffs in our communities.
To make matters worse, more and more people are discovering that they can save money by making their favorite restaurant dishes at home following the step by step instructions of Master Chef Ron Douglas.

The so called “secret recipes” of these billion dollar restaurants have now been exposed and shared with the world in the cooking instructional guide “America’s Secret Recipes.”  I’ll bet you can find one of your favorites in here!

Basic Minced Beef

In some parts of the country this is known as MAID-RITES , but I grew up with it being called minced beef.  It can be served on buns, rice, mashed potatoes.  Left overs can be used as a base for tacos, burritos, or sloppy joes.
1 pound ground beef
1 medium onion, minced
½  teaspoon salt
dash of pepper
1 cup tomato juice
Brown hamburger. Add  onion. When onion is soft, add remaining ingredients.
Let cook down and serve  on toasted buns.

Biscuit Mix Corn Dogs

1 cup biscuit mix
2 tablespoons yellow corn meal
1/4 teaspoon paprika
Pinch of garlic or onion powder
1 egg, beaten with
1/2 cup milk
8 wieners
Preheat shortening or oil. Combine biscuit mix, corn meal and  seasonings. Add
egg and milk and stir until blended. Dip wieners into batter and  deep fry
until golden brown. Drain on paper towel. Push a wooden skewer into one  end.
Cut up the leftover weiners and mix them with the remaining batter and fry them as fritters.
