In some parts of the country this is known as MAID-RITES , but I grew up with it being called minced beef. It can be served on buns, rice, mashed potatoes. Left overs can be used as a base for tacos, burritos, or sloppy joes.
1 pound ground beef
1 medium onion, minced
½ teaspoon salt
dash of pepper
1 cup tomato juice
Brown hamburger. Add onion. When onion is soft, add remaining ingredients.
Let cook down and serve on toasted buns.
